You’re here, thank you and welcome.
Dena Hurst, Ph.D.
Medical Qigong Practitioner & Certified Master Face Reader
I have followed my heart to education and apprenticeships in Chinese medicine.
My first step was to complete training in the principles of Chinese medicine through the Beijing Mebo Traditional Chinese Medicine Training Institute as well as training in Chinese herbal medicine from the Institute of Chinese Herbology. I wanted to develop my diagnostic abilities and pursued additional certification in face reading, a special non-invasive technique used in Chinese medicine to reveal health imbalances.
I was a student of master face reader in the Chen lineage, Lilian Chen Bridges, and am continuing to study with her senior students at the Face Reading Institute & Asian Arts. I am the sole student of Dr. Han Chul Lee, a licensed acupuncturist based in Toronto, Canada, to apprentice in a proprietary method of diagnosis and treatment based on energy types. This training is done in the traditional manner of oral teaching passed from master to student.
And finally, I am a practitioner of Medical Qigong, working toward becoming a doctor of Medical Qigong. Medical Qigong is a form of Chinese medicine that focuses on the deepest root of health issues by applying evidence-based protocols to regulate Qi, or energy, and allow the body to heal to its potential.
My goal is to help you regain balance and be your healthiest self. I enjoy working with people who are ready to transform their health and life, find their path, and manifest their true creative abilities. I am an empathetic listener and perceptive observer. I create a safe space for you to heal, transform, and be who you are intended to be.
